Make Up Look - Birthday Party Meal

Hey everyone! Hope you are all well :)

It was one of my friends 18th Birthday last week and so I decided to show you my make up look for the night. We only went out for a meal to a restaurant and afterwards went around the town so it wasn't anything too fancy or dramatic! Hope you enjoy :)

Here is what I look like before make up. I have moisturized my face beforehand using the Simple Moisturizer. I then prime my face to ensure my make up lats all night using the Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer. (Brace yourselves for this picture!! )

I start of by doing the base of my make up. For my foundation I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up mixed with a bit of the L'Oreal True Match just to get the perfect colour. Once I have done this I will put the Rimmel Stay Matte powder on top just to ensure that the foundation stays in place. To put on my foundation I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush as I find it blends the make up really well and leaves i looking natural.

After doing my base make up I move on to my eyes. I am the worst at doing my eye make up as I have a really unsteady hand and suck at blending eye shadow! I try my best anyway, so to start I prime my eyelids with the MUA eye primer so that the eye shadow doesn't fall down half way through the night. The make up palette I use for the night was the NYC Individual Eyes blue eyes palette.

I took the pale silver/grey all over my lid and then with the darker lilac I used in my crease and blended it out. With the pale lilac I used it to highlight along my brow bone to define and in the corners of my eyes to highlight and make the eye appear bigger. With the dark grey I used right in the corner of my eyes to define even more. Here is the end result;

To complete my eye make up I used the Maybelline Falsies mascara and the Rimmel Scandaleyes Gel Eyeliner to line along the lash line. I also used the Rimmel Professional Eye Brow pencil to fill in and add more colour to my eyebrows as I have sparse spacing in my eyebrows that needs filled in.

Next I move on to finish off my face make up. I conceal my spots and blemishes with the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and a Real Techniques Dome Eye shadow Brush. This concealer gives really good coverage and isn't a highlighter one so it doesn't leave your spots looking shiny and drawing more attention to them. To highlight under my eyes to brighten them up I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer accuse as well as highlighting it covers up dark circles.

I use the Bourjois Powder Delice De Poudre Bronzer as it is really good for obviously bronzing up your complexion as well as defining cheekbones and it also adds a bit of shimmer too. To set all my face make up I use the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in translucent. This stuff works miracles! It leaves my skin matte all night long and keeps all my make up in place for ages! :) To extra set my make up I use the Urban Decay setting spray just to ensure that it all stays in place and doesn't rub of by the end of the night :)

To complete my look I put on Revlon Lip Butter in Sorbet (I think that's what it is called) This just adds a pop of colour to the overall look and the lip butter is really long lasting and I feel that all the colour range is really wearable and is so affordable :)

Here is the completed look, I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope to do more like this in the future :)

This post was very spontaneous and was an excuse to not revise for my exams so if it isn't as detailed as you would like then please let me know for next time as it was rather rushed which I apologize for!

Until next time, Lisa xx
