Make Up Look - Birthday Party Meal

Hey everyone! Hope you are all well :)

It was one of my friends 18th Birthday last week and so I decided to show you my make up look for the night. We only went out for a meal to a restaurant and afterwards went around the town so it wasn't anything too fancy or dramatic! Hope you enjoy :)

Here is what I look like before make up. I have moisturized my face beforehand using the Simple Moisturizer. I then prime my face to ensure my make up lats all night using the Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer. (Brace yourselves for this picture!! )

I start of by doing the base of my make up. For my foundation I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up mixed with a bit of the L'Oreal True Match just to get the perfect colour. Once I have done this I will put the Rimmel Stay Matte powder on top just to ensure that the foundation stays in place. To put on my foundation I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush as I find it blends the make up really well and leaves i looking natural.

After doing my base make up I move on to my eyes. I am the worst at doing my eye make up as I have a really unsteady hand and suck at blending eye shadow! I try my best anyway, so to start I prime my eyelids with the MUA eye primer so that the eye shadow doesn't fall down half way through the night. The make up palette I use for the night was the NYC Individual Eyes blue eyes palette.

I took the pale silver/grey all over my lid and then with the darker lilac I used in my crease and blended it out. With the pale lilac I used it to highlight along my brow bone to define and in the corners of my eyes to highlight and make the eye appear bigger. With the dark grey I used right in the corner of my eyes to define even more. Here is the end result;

To complete my eye make up I used the Maybelline Falsies mascara and the Rimmel Scandaleyes Gel Eyeliner to line along the lash line. I also used the Rimmel Professional Eye Brow pencil to fill in and add more colour to my eyebrows as I have sparse spacing in my eyebrows that needs filled in.

Next I move on to finish off my face make up. I conceal my spots and blemishes with the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and a Real Techniques Dome Eye shadow Brush. This concealer gives really good coverage and isn't a highlighter one so it doesn't leave your spots looking shiny and drawing more attention to them. To highlight under my eyes to brighten them up I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer accuse as well as highlighting it covers up dark circles.

I use the Bourjois Powder Delice De Poudre Bronzer as it is really good for obviously bronzing up your complexion as well as defining cheekbones and it also adds a bit of shimmer too. To set all my face make up I use the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in translucent. This stuff works miracles! It leaves my skin matte all night long and keeps all my make up in place for ages! :) To extra set my make up I use the Urban Decay setting spray just to ensure that it all stays in place and doesn't rub of by the end of the night :)

To complete my look I put on Revlon Lip Butter in Sorbet (I think that's what it is called) This just adds a pop of colour to the overall look and the lip butter is really long lasting and I feel that all the colour range is really wearable and is so affordable :)

Here is the completed look, I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope to do more like this in the future :)

This post was very spontaneous and was an excuse to not revise for my exams so if it isn't as detailed as you would like then please let me know for next time as it was rather rushed which I apologize for!

Until next time, Lisa xx

March Favourites

Heeeeeey.

(I always begin with 'Hello again' so I am going for something different!)

Today I will be sharing with you all what my favourite items have been over the month of March. Firstly can I say WOW this year is flying by so quickly I am struggling to keep up -however the school year is nearly up so YAY! There is always a positive!

I have been loving so much this month and trying out lots of new products so I have quite a few to share with you today and hopefully you will feel inspired to try them and love them as much as I do. And of course if you want to, you can share with me what your favourite things of this month were in the comments :)

Side note, this could also be my last post for a little while as I will be focusing on my exams and coursework. So bare with me, I need to pass these exams!

Make Up

As it is now officially Spring I have been bringing back all my old make up favourites again to use in this season. I do this weird cycle thing where I only use certain products in a season and then put them away until next year so now I have to go and find all my last year Spring products so that I can get good use out of them!!

My make up favourites of this month are both base items and they are Rimmel Perfect Match foundation and Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. Both of these have been my staple for the month of March, they work so well together for a fresh, natural, easy to wear look.

Firstly the foundation I got from a recommendation from my friend who uses it daily and I thought that I might give it a go as I have been using the Rimmel Wake Me Up one for AGES and I wanted to try something new. I find that this foundation is really easy to work into the skin and it looks really natural. I have oily skin and my sister has dry skin and we both use this foundation and it works great for both of us so it is an all round product for every skin type!

The Collection concealer is of course one of those cult beauty classics that basically every beauty guru on YouTube talks about and I couldn't resist the temptation any longer so when I saw it one day when I was out I had to buy it! and I am glad that I did because it is honestly amazing! It covers all my imperfections really well and I have quite a few scars from spots that I picked (EW!) so finding a really full coverage concealer is always really hard and I am never happy until you can't see a single blemish on my face - luckily this concealer does the trick and it was so cheap which surprised me! I think I may have bought a shade too dark for my skin though so I will have to go back and get a shade lighter but for now I am making it work!

Overall, for make up this month I really just tried to get my base perfect for the summer time and I think I have achieved this with these two products :)

Hair:

Recently I have began to notice that my hair is becoming a lot weaker than is usually is, which I put down to be severely damaging it by dying it every 2 months! However I went on a mission to find something to help repair it and make it not look so dry and straw like! I found this 2-in-1 product by Pantene:

It is a shampoo and conditioner which I never really would recommend as I don't believe on product can do both but I think this one is really effective! I have been using it for around the whole month now, for every wash (which is every 2 days) and have found that my hair is in fact becoming shinier and a lot more healthy than before, which is such a relief as I was looking like a scarecrow for a while there..

I would overall really recommend this product if you are finding your hair to be breaking off and looking really dull recently. I wanted to ensure that my hair looked shiny as it is coming into the Summer and I wanted that 'natural glow' look and I think that with continued use I will achieve this!

Skin Care:

My skin has actually been not too bad in terms of break outs recently (It's a miracle I know!) however I am still not satisfied with the blemishes and red scars that I have on my face!! So in an effort to try and use every product possible to find the right one I bought the Origins Clear Improvements Mask.

I use this mask once a week, sometimes twice if I remember to and can be bothered to do it! I hate masks that you have to wash off however I am prepared to do whatever works to clear my skin for good. I find that this mask leaves my skin super baby bum soft after using it and since I have been using it for nearly 2 months now I am defiantly beginning to see an improvement in the colour of the blemishes, they are finally fading away! This product was £22 however I think that for the price of it and the fact it is lasting me a lifetime as you only need a pea size amount each time, it is worth the money!

I would highly recommend this product if you have problems with blemishes. I love relaxing in the bath with music on and this face mask.

Music:

I cannot get enough of listening to 5 Seconds of Summer's EP! It is so perfect it makes me want to cry and eat ice cream every time because I know I will never marry them all. Bigamy at its best.

My favourite song on the EP is Disconnected. It makes me want to dance around my bedroom pretending to be on a beach somewhere (I have no idea ok) but you really need to buy this if you haven't! I have been a fan of 5SOS for a little over 2 years now and they are seriously so kind-hearted, down to earth lovely boys who deserve all the success that they get. Just one thing though THEY NEED TO COME BACK TO HERE SO I CAN SEE YOU ON YOUR OWN TOUR OK THANK YOU (That was needed to be put out there.)

Random:

On March 25th I was lucky enough to go to The Wanted's concert, front row. I actually love The Wanted so flipping much and the fact that they are over now completely heartbreaks me (I could go off in a tangent here but I wont) The concert was seriously one of the best of my life. I went to their last concert as well and had an amazing time so I knew this would be unreal. I think they are all so talented, funny and beautiful boys/men now. 4 years on and I am still their number one fan. Anyway, the concert was so impressively amazing and I can't believe I will never see them again :( Thankfully they gave me the best night of my life, so the memories will last forever. (ok Lisa, stop being so soppy!) Of course I have added the ticket to my wall of ever growing concert ticket collection, it is actually getting ridiculous!! Of course The Vamps were also there on tour with The Wanted who I love as well, seems to be a running theme in this post with boys...hmm anyways. The Vamps were also amazing, it was my second time seeing them live now I just need to see them on their own tour if they would just release tour dates for here that would be great!

I feel that this post was very much boyband oriented (5SOS are not a boyband however..just a band..with boys in it.) Hope you enjoyed my March Favourites.

Leave me a comment what you want to see on this blog, I am always open to feedback :)

Until next time,

Concert Series - Outfit ideas

Hey guys!

So I thought that since 'concert season' is coming up that I would begin a mini concert series on my blog! Every week will be a different topic, such as make up and hair ideas for a concert, tips and tricks for a concert and that sort of stuff. This week I will be showing you various outfit ideas to wear to a concert :) If you are like me and are a professional concert goes ;) then this might be something you are interested in, who knows!

For me, I have 4 concerts coming up within the next few months, so I know that outfit ideas is something that I will be on the look out for in the next few weeks. Hopefully this gives you some inspirations and ideas as to what you could wear to a concert you might be going to, or if you like fashion this might be interesting to you as well! I don't really know, this might be silly but I'll go with it! :P

I will split this into two separate categories - Girly/dressy outfit, more casual/ and comfy outfits. These are the two that I normally would go for, depending on who it is that I am seeing in concert and where the concert is going to be at (e.g outside or at an arena) and also if I am standing or have a seat.

Girly and dressy outfits:

Ok, so if I am going to a concert and I am standing but I want to dress nicely then I would go for something such as a jumpsuit or play suit and then just casual pumps or plimsolls and then glam it up more with my jewelry. Here are some examples;

I thought this outfit would be good as it would be comfortable when you are standing but it still is very feminine and still quite dressy. The flat shoes would suit as if you are standing you normally would be standing in a queue outside the venue for hours (experience!)

  • TIP: If you are standing, I suggest wearing flat shoes that have a strap around the ankle, which means that if you are running to the front they won't fall off!
To add to this outfit, depending on the season you might want to add a light jacket, such as a blazer or even a leather jacket would suit this look as well, if you wanted more of an edge.

If you aren't standing and can brave wearing heels to a concert, then this is a look I would wear;

I really like this dress because of the floral print and I think it looks really pretty and girly, however adding the black accessories to it makes it not too girly. The black platform heels wouldn't be too hard to walk in due to the platform and I think that the ankle strap is important as it means your shoes won't fall off if you are jumping along to a song! The bag is also big enough to hold all you need and I think it is important to take a shoulder bag rather than just a clutch or a big hold-all carry bag as it means you won't set it down and lose it! To add to the outfit, you could put on a black blazer and add some bracelets and other jewelry pieces :) This is defo something I would wear to a concert - only I would find cheaper shoes!! Also, depending on the season, you could add black tights or even skin coloured nude tights to keep your legs warm!

As well as dresses and jumpsuits, girly girls can also wear shorts or skirts to a concert. I would suggest shorts for an outdoor summer concert. Also skirts can be wore both in the summer and winter (if you add tights) Also, very on trend right now (watch me try to be a pro at style!!) is skorts (looks like a skirt but is actually shorts..how clever!) I am loving skorts right now as I think that they look really cool and they are so comfy! Skorts are in most high street shops at the minute, however I am seriously loving River Islands as they have something for every occasion and ones that suit everyone!! So defo check them out if you are looking to invest in a skort for the right price! :)

Casual/ comfy outfits -

Ok, so these outfits are for the girls who like to be comfy and casual at a concert. I think that you don't always need to dress up for a concert, jeans are perfectly acceptable, and lets be honest whoever it is you are going to see won't really care what you are wearing as long as you are there supporting them! :)

So, if you want to wear jeans to a concert, pick your most comfy pair that you know won't fall down when you are jumping along singing!! Here is an outfit that I would wear if I was going to wear jeans to a concert;

I chose a pair of black, high rise skinny jeans as this is most likely what I would wear as it would match a lot of tops. If it was in the summer you could wear mid-wash or bleached jeans as it would be more appropriate. I didn't know what top to pair it with as everyone's style is different so I went with one that I would most likely wear, and it lets the band/singer know that you love them ;) #cringe also I was attracted to the flower print! You could wear a jumper or blouse if you preferred or even a band/singer merch/concert t-shirt! Which is probably what most of the 'fangirls' would want to wear! :D Also by adding the converse it makes it more casual and converse are SO comfortable! If you wanted you could wear vans or any other type of plimsoll style shoe :) Since this was a casual outfit I didn't add any jewelry to the picture, but of course if you wanted to then it would suit perfectly! :)

Lastly, if you wanted to not be as casual by wearing jeans then wearing a nice pair of shorts would also really work when going to a concert, especially if it is an outdoor concert during the summer! :D There are so many options when it comes to shorts, such as denim or leather or other texture (such as glitter!) and you can get any colour of shorts, so just go with whatever you prefer!

I hope this has given you some inspiration for the next concert that you are going to! :) I really enjoyed writing this post and think I am going to make a concert series giving you some tips, my experiences of concerts and hair and make up ideas? If you would be interested in this then let me know! :D

If you made it to the end of this very long blog post then well done, you get a gold star!! :)

Sorry this took me so long to make and that's why I haven't posted in ages!! Also I hope you all are loving the new look of my blog page, it needed spruced up for Spring ;)

Until next time, love and happiness,

Lisa xo

*Disclaimer* I am not a fashion expert, these are just my personal options that I wear to concerts, also I don't know everyone's style so I tried to be general :) **

Get The Look - Taylor Swift (RED tour Version)

Hey everyone!

Today I am going to do another post on my celebrity fashion inspirations! Today's is Taylor Swift - not only is she my fashion inspiration she is my idol! :)

The outfit I will be showing you how to re-create will all be from her RED tour :) Hope you enjoy!

For any of you who are Taylor Swift fans you will know that her staple piece is black high waist shorts. You can pretty much get this in every clothes shop but I have selected a few different variations.

The shorts she wears here are actually custom made by BLEULAB so you can't buy them, however there are some good look a likes on the high street;

I have found a nice pair of black, leather shorts just like Taylor's;
These are from Topshop and are £30. I think these are a very good match if you want one's just like Taylor's in the image above. You can find them at;

If you don't like the leather effect look of shorts, then you can always go for a denim black short. I found this pair that I think would work perfectly for this look:

I like the simplicity of these black, high waist denim shorts. You could easily dress them up for a fancy top and nice shoes, or you could wear them casually. These are from Miss Selfridge for £25 - http://www.missselfridge.com/en/msuk/product/clothing-299047/shorts-299238/black-high-waist-turn-up-short-2283452?refinements=Colour%7b1%7d~%5bblack%5d&bi=1&ps=40

As well as black shorts, Taylor also wears red shorts on this tour,

You can no longer get these exact shorts, which were from Urban Outfitters, but there are some similar ones still out there that are available;

I like the scalloped edge that these shorts have and I can really see them as something Taylor would wear! I found these at Nasty Gal for $27.20 (but they are £16.58 when converted to pounds) http://www.nastygal.com/clothes_sale/fever-dream-faux-leather-shorts--red/?utm_source=commission_junction&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=affiliate&cj_linkd=11085047&cj_webid=2687457&cj_sid=25ef867d5e684d7fb17b306b88bf3790&cj_affid=2205077&cj_affname=Polyvore&utm_content=2205077

These could be another option, although not as bright a red, Taylor did wear these exact shorts only in black at another performance, so these would really work if you are trying to dress like Taylor! :) These are from Charlotte Russe and are $16.99 -  http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/Clothes/Shorts/entity/pc/2114/c/0/sc/2634/254884.uts?refinementValueIds=1578&sortByColumnName=SortByArrival#

Like Taylor in the first picture, I would wear a blouse with these shorts, I found a nice white one like Taylor's ;

I like the added sequin collar that this blouse shirt has, as I think it just adds that little something special to the look. This is from Boohoo for £20 - http://www.boohoo.com/restofworld/clothing/tops/icat/tops/new-in/shirley-sequin-collar-box-shape-blouse/invt/azz38468

However, if you wanted something even more out there and not as understated, then this would be perfect;

I like the detailed lace print effect that this crop white blouse has. It is from New Look and is £19.99  - http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/tops/cream-short-sleeve-daisy-lace-boxy-shirt-_304847913

Taylor always accessorizes her outfits perfectly, and from the first picture she has added a black fedora hat and some red brogue style shoes. Here are some similar items that you can buy to re-create this look to finish it off just right:

As the actual hat Taylor wears is a custom made Marina Toybina hat, I had to try and find a similar looking one. I think this one from H&M is pretty similar, it is only £14.99 - http://www.hm.com/gb/product/22906?article=22906-A

I couldn't find a pair of red brogue style shoes ANYWHERE - if you know of any please comment the link! :) instead, I thought that plimsoll style shoes would also work with this look - I went for the Taylor Swift RED Keds:

That's all I am going to do for today, I hope you have gotten some inspiration from this post. If you would like to see another one like this but with another celebrity leave your suggestions below :D

Till next time,

Love Lisa xx

IT'S 2014!!!

Hello beautiful people! :)

Firstly, HAPPY NEW YEAR (7 days too late!)

This post is basically going to be me blabbering on about my life recently and what I've been up to just as a wee update of what this year holds, so if you are in any way, shape or form interested..keep reading! :)

So it is the start of yet another year and this year I am going to try and make a few changes about myself. I have always been one of these people who question what their value on this earth is and this year I think I am going to get myself of my lazy butt and find myself a place in this world.

To start with I will be going to University this year, which is so scary to believe! But yet again, I might not even go to Uni! I haven't entirely decided what I even want to do, but I have applied and if I choose not to go, then I wont go. Simple as that. I will make my own decisions about what I want to do and won't be influenced by those around me :)

I am also going to try and be more healthy..I know - typical New Year's resolution that will dissolve after a few weeks. I have told myself every year for the past 2 years that I will be more healthy but as of yet I have failed every year..BUT this year WILL be different! I need to be more healthy..If it was possible to live on chocolate forever then I most certainly would, but I know I can't do that so this year is a health boos - more fruit & veg, more water, exercise!! As I say this I am thinking "Am I crazy?" The answer is probably yes, and a little delusional but I need to keep motivate and the results will show, so if you see me tweeting that I want a chocolate bar tweet me back and say NO DON'T DO IT! That'd be much appreciated! haha :P

Another, I suppose you could call it 'resolution' that I have made for this year is to not care what others think about me! If I want to spend my time and write a blog, stalk boybands, go on twitter then why should it affect other people and why should I care if they make fun of me or not..it isn't their life! So I am going to be more happy in myself and my life, more positive around others which will hopefully spread to them to not be so mean! haha and also to confident and stand up for myself more than I have done before and to let them know that it isn't OK to say what they say :)

Ok so sorry that that got a little deep...grab your snorkels! haha so now what does 2014 hold for me? Firstly I am going to see Union J on the 12th of January which if you follow me on twitter are probably well aware of! :P

Other concerts I am going to are ; The Wanted in March, Katy Perry in May and Little Mix in June which I realise is quite a few for only a couple of months but I am so lucky to have the best parents that buy me and my sister the tickets and kindly take us to the events. I know some people don't have the luxury that we do, so I am very grateful for the opportunities I have been given! :)

As for everything else, who knows! I just go with the flow and whatever happens, it happens! :D

Make sure you stay tuned on this blog as I have a lot of really exciting things planned that I want to do on here! :D

Also, I have now fully decided that I am going to start my YouTube channel this year, I might start with a Union J concert vlog, so if you are interested in that, comment and let me know :) It will be a trial and error process for a while though so I find what route I want to take on the channel and I might not even continue to do it if I find it uncomfortable! :S We will have to see! :)

Apart from that, 21013 was an amazing year and I can't wait for 2014 to see what adventures it holds! :D

Until next time, thanks for reading

Stay beautiful,

Lisa xx

Get The Look - Steph Edwards (Luminites)

Hi all! Hope you are all well! :D

Today, I am starting a new series (I know I have been doing a lot of "new series" lately but I just want to experiment and take this blog in the right direction, so stick with me!)

Anyway, the series will be called *drumroll* "Get The Look" *cymbals crash and fireworks* lol (I do try to be funny...)

In this little series I will be picking out various celebrities that I take fashion inspiration from and telling you where to buy the products that they wear (whether it be exact matches or a cheaper alternative!) and also giving you some of my tips on how to style the different pieces that they wear :)

To start of with I thought that I would do Steph from Luminites as I LOVE and adore her style! Everything she wears I'm always like "Where did she get that!!?" haha. Her style could be described as girly yet still very casual and on trend!

The first look I will show you how to get the look off is one that Steph wore on the Luminites performance on Daybreak a few weeks ago :) This is what she wore;

The tartan print is really on trend this season and I think that this dress is just perfect! :) I love how she has styled it with just converse and tights, it looks really quirky but yet edgy at the same time!
Here is where you can find this dress or a look a like:

Primark £15 (This is the exact match, only in a different colour just for more options)

I love the edge that this one brings from Daisy Street with the added leather to the cap of the sleeves. It gives it that little bit something more and would look perfect with chunky black boots and a beanie! It costs £15.99 and can be found at http://www.daisystreet.co.uk/jaron-pu-sleeve-tartan-baby-doll-dress-in-red

However if tartan dresses aren't your thing you could always go for something more simple such as a tartan top or even just a tartan scarf if you still wanted to incorporate the tartan trend into your look; here are some examples:

I think that this top is very understated as it is balanced out with the black skirt and hat. It is still very on trend and the red lipstick really compliments it. This top is from Miss Guided and is £14.99 http://www.missguided.co.uk/catalog/product/view/id/94016/s/keeva-tartan-crop-top/category/1083/

This scarf is from Zara and is £19.99 (bit pricey for a scarf) but the quality is amazing! You could easily style this with a jumper and jeans and jacket or even with a skater skirt and leather jacket for an edgy look. It won't be too dramatic like a tartan dress, you need to feel comfortable! http://www.zara.com/uk/en/new-collection/checked-soft-scarf-c323303p1330066.html

The next look from Steph is...well...this dress

She posted it on her instagram a couple of days ago and at first I was like "woah, bit too out there for me" but now I'm kinda really liking it! haha If I was to wear it around where I live people would look at me as if I had two heads but if you are brave enough to wear something like it then you can find it:

I couldn't find the exact match, but I heard that it was from Topshop. This one is from Boohoo and is £12.00. I like that you can't really tell that it is sweets until up close to it. It's quirky and I love it. http://www.boohoo.com/restofworld/day-dresses/jessica-sweet-print-bodycon-dress/invt/azz39654

I did manage to find the matching cami top from Topshop, so I assume that the dress is also from there. I think that this top would look good with black leggings or jeans, or even a midi body-con skirt. It is £26.00 http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?searchTerm=sweet&storeId=12556&productId=11500307&urlRequestType=Base&categoryId=&langId=-1&productIdentifier=product&catalogId=33057

If you feel like the sweet printed clothes is too out there for you (like myself) then you could always opt for sweet jewelry. I found this bracelet on Truffle Shuffle
It is £6.99 and I think that no one would really notice it if you were wearing it, and even if they did who cares! Its just a bracelet! They make quirky gifts for people as well! Go on to  http://www.truffleshuffle.co.uk/store/liquorice-allsorts-bracelet-p-13224.html to find more cute and quirky jewelry gift ideas!

The last look that I have chosen is Steph's casual everyday look. Here is an example;

I love the simplicity of her casual look, its basically me everyday! haha :) You can wear whatever jeans you love the most and your converse (or in my case, cheap plimsolls from Primark!) and match it up with a cute, printed jumper. Here are a few of my picks;

This one from Lipsy is really cute! I love the pink and the print on it! It is totally something that I would wear! This jumper is £35 so a bit pricey (ask Santa nicely!) I actually found this on the Next website, but I'm sure its in the Lipsy shop too. http://www.next.co.uk/gl0570s4#l23133gl0

If you don't want to go for a printed jumper, you could always find a lovely cosy warm plain knitted jumper such as this one;

How fricking cosy does that not look!!! :P This is from Miss Selfridge and is now only £19.50 so get it fast before it sells out!! You could wear this with leggings or disco pants as well as just jeans if you prefer :) http://www.missselfridge.com/en/msuk/product/clothing-299047/knitwear-299069/jumpers-299206/mohair-holey-square-jumper-2407056?refinements=category~%5b208087%7c208085%5d&bi=1&ps=200

And of course, considering it is Christmas, I couldn't leave out the tacky (yet very stylish) Christmas jumper! Here is a cute on that I found;

I love it so much!! Too much cuteness! :P Its from New Look and is £27.99 and if people call you tacky, don't listen to them! Wear your jumper with pride...maybe just inside. In my opinion New Look have the best variety for Christmas Jumpers and at affordable prices, check them out.. http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/knitwear/christmas-jumpers/_/N-9vjZ1z1410m

How To - Natural Waves

Hello again!

So I have decided to start a little series on this blog called 'How To' (How to..create original series names YAY!) haha anyway it's the only name I could think of to call it, but basically I am going to be doing little tutorials on how to do stuff, simple! :D I will make the steps as basic and easy to follow as I can, so lets get started :D

This is how to get natural waves without using heat.. :D

Step 1; You need to wash your hair the night before that you want your waves for (if that makes sense) so say I wanted my hair wavy for Wednesday I would wash it on the Tuesday night.. I use 'Alberto balsam' shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair. These come in loads of different scents but my favourite is the mandarin and papaya shampoo (which is a citrus orange scent) and the coconut conditioner (which is the most heavenly coconut scent ever!)

Step 2; You need to only towel dry your hair, do not use a hairdryer as the waves will be less effective.

Step 3: You need to do 2 french plaits in your hair, if you can't do it, get someone else to do it for you. Sometimes people need more than 2 plaits (it's a trail and error type process) for me 2 works but my sister does 3 as she has thicker hair than I do. So you french plait your hair when it is wet/damp and sleep in it overnight. It seriously isn't that uncomfortable!

Step 4; In the morning, take out your plaits and taadaah! You have nice, natural looking waves! :D Use whatever you use to style it, mousse, salt spray or whatever you use and then add a touch of hairspray all over to keep the waves in place all day! :D

As you can see, I wear this look to school as it is easy to do and not much hassle in the morning! (I'm not a morning person! So it is easier for me to do my hair before bed!) You could also dress this look up and wear it on a night out by adding a plait in the side of your head.

I hope you enjoyed this easy tutorial to wavy hair, and if you would like more of these 'How To's ' then leave a comment telling me what you want to know how to do and I will try my best to do it. :D

Love, Lisa xo
